Henrie Richer is an English/French artist, photographer and writer, living in the countryside near Paris, France.
She decided this year to paint full time, after raising two daughters and working in English language training, journalism and photography.
Her artwork, Toucan in the Jungle, was created in 2021 as one of the preparative exercises for her ongoing series of larger paintings of female nudes in jungle scenes.
The paintings feature jungle animals, birds and felines, alongside the main female figure. In folklore Toucans are a reminder that you need to speak up and that your contributions have value.
